Hopi Native American, Dennis Numkena that passed to the other side on April 11, 2010.
We are all so very grateful to have been able to work with him, learn from him, and been graced
by such a divine spiritual being through his architecture, artwork, and design projects.
His love and selflessness will be charished always!
The Spiritual Discovery™ Radio Show with host Linda Berry has acclaimed Hopi Indian artist, architect, and designer Dennis Numkena as a special guest. He will discuss his current Mayan Project: "2012 The Fifth World." He will share his travels to the Mayan Ruins of Palenque and his latest journey to Mexico as he studied the Aztec and Mayan culture for his current artistic project.
Numkena received his degree in Architecture from Arizona State University. In 1971, at the age of 30, he formed the first Native American owned architectural firm. The rich architectural history of the indigenous peoples of the Southwest, especially that of the Anasazi, ancestors of the Hopi, caused Numkena to dedicate himself to reinterpreting that language. All the while Numkena and Associates successfully competed for projects, not far from the drawing table, evidence of other passions poured from brushes applying bold colors to canvas. Many signature Numkena buildings also house paintings he created alongside building designs, working drawings and scale models. Art and architecture comfortably share the creative genius of Dennis Numkena.

HERE'S A LITTLE PREVIEW...
Full Moons occur when the Sun & Moon are located on opposite sides of the Earth. The face of the Moon visible from the Earth is completely illuminated by the Sun. Specifically, the Full Moon occurs when the geocentric apparent longitudes of the Sun and the Moon are 180 degrees apart...the Sun and the Moon are on opposite sides of the sky.
The Moon takes 27.3 days to orbit the Earth. But because the Moon is orbiting around the Earth in the same direction that the Earth is orbiting the Sun, the Moon takes an additional 2.2 days to return to the same position in the sky, where it's perfectly lined up with the Sun. That's why the amount of time it takes to go from a Full Moon to a Full Moon is 29.5 days long. Astronomers call this length of time a Lunar Month.
